About Me
Dr. Rebecca Stevenson has 25 years of combined work experience as an educator, youth coach, and clinician. She is a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), has a Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology, and is a proud alumna of John F. Kennedy University. She has spent the majority of her career working extensively with historically marginalized individuals and communities in academic, community mental health, and youth based settings. Much of her professional focus has been on social justice, education, and the inclusion of compassionate, equitable trauma informed care. She is passionate about providing accessible, culturally responsive frameworking to the many people, programs, and communities that are served.
Dr. Stevenson has developed and coached multiple youth sport based programs for children including autistic children and children living with additional disabilities, created 2-3 academic scholarship and fellowship programs supporting over 200 QTBIPOC students, first gen students, and students experiencing community/immigration violence, housing/fiscal instability, and/or linguistic diversity access higher education, and directed at multiple non-profits within education and community mental health. Additionally, she has taught upwards of twenty courses as a clinical, counseling, and sport psychology faculty member and has facilitated a wide range of workshops and trainings as a mental health consultant in the field. Dr. Stevenson really enjoys 1:1 interactions, pumping up systems and teams, moving culture, and helping people grow.

​In the spirit of intersectionality, Dr. Stevenson is an adopted, queer, Black, multi-racial, multi-cultural cis woman. Further, she is a child of immigrants. She deeply understands what it is like to navigate challenging systems and advocate for others all while trying to be authentically human in our day to day world.
